Air Austral is set to introduce Airbus A320neo aircraft on several routes beginning in late March 2027. The new aircraft will replace older models like the A220-300 and 737-800.

The first flights will operate from St. Denis de la Reunion to Antananarivo, Dzaoudzi, Johannesburg, Mauritius, and Nosy-Be. A seasonal service to Moroni will also begin in July 2027.

The A320neo offers a capacity of 180 seats and is expected to enhance the airline’s service on these routes. Travelers planning trips to these destinations in the coming months may want to check for any changes in flight schedules or availability due to the aircraft transition.
