Air China has removed all regular Boeing 747-400 flights between January and February 2027. This includes the Beijing Capital – Guangzhou 747-400 service from 03 Jan 2027 to 28 Feb 2027, the Beijing Capital – Shanghai Hongqiao 747-400 service from 21 Jan 2027 to 07 Mar 2027, and the Beijing Capital – Shenzhen 747-400 service from 01 Jan 2027 to 01 Mar 2027.
The airline has only one remaining 747-400 flight, a one-time service from Hohhot to Beijing Capital on 26 November 2026.
Regular 747-400 services are not scheduled until at least 28 February 2027. The likelihood of further removals after this date remains high. These changes suggest a potential phase-out of the 747-400 fleet by Air China in the near future.
