Direct flights to Medina are set to begin later this week, operating twice weekly on Thursdays and Saturdays with flight numbers F3 1827 (outbound) and F3 1828 (return). Flyadeal also continues its Lucknow-Dammam service on Tuesdays and Fridays with flight numbers F3 1825 (outbound) and F3 1826 (return).
The expansion is expected to benefit pilgrims, Indian expatriates working in Saudi Arabia, and business travellers. The direct connectivity reduces the need for passengers to transit through other airports.
Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport, which is managed by Adani Airport Holdings Limited, now has direct international links to nine destinations across the Middle East via six airlines. In addition to the new routes, Thai AirAsia will launch a direct Lucknow-Bangkok service this month, expanding the airport's international network to 10 destinations.
