Bus fares across Karnataka's state-run transport corporations have increased. The minimum fare on BMTC city buses in Bengaluru rises from Rs 6 to Rs 10, while the maximum goes up from Rs 35 to Rs 45.

The Vayu Vajra airport service now costs Rs 425 instead of Rs 405. AC Vajra buses also see a change; their maximum fare is Rs 90 compared with Rs 75.

KSRTC fares have seen a hike capped at Rs 9.

The revised rates take effect from midnight. The changes are linked to rising diesel prices and similar fare adjustments in other states.

AIUTUC has condemned the fare hike and demanded an immediate rollback. No details are given on whether further adjustments will be made or if there are plans for additional changes.
