Malaysia Airlines has announced updates to its international schedule for the second quarter of 2027. The Kuala Lumpur–Perth route will switch from an A330‑300 or A330‑900neo to a Boeing 737 MAX 8 for the period 3 May 27 to 31 May 27, with no change in flight frequency noted.
Meanwhile, services between Kuala Lumpur and Sydney will be cut from 21 to 19 weekly flights, operating on an A330‑900neo for the same May window. Additionally, the Kuala Lumpur–Xiamen route will see a reduction from four to three weekly flights—using a Boeing 737‑800—from 14 June 27 through 28 June 27.
Passengers planning travel on these routes should consult updated timetables and consider alternate dates or carriers if needed.
