Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has handed out Summer 2027 slots to 38 international airlines. The move leaves 12 carriers—operating 16 daily flights that reach 14 destinations—without a slot at Mumbai airport, forcing them to consider relocating to Navi Mumbai International Airport.
The allocation followed consultations with airlines amid concerns over the planned renovation of Terminal 1 and the transition of international operations. Airport officials say the change will leave about 91% of CSMIA's existing traffic capacity intact.
