Passengers are flocking to Secunderabad Railway Station as families prepare to head home for Diwali and Chhath Puja. The influx has pushed the South Central Railway (SCR) into action.

SCR plans to operate 400 special trains on popular routes to meet demand. Extra coaches will be attached to existing services for those who have been waitlisted.

The station has added additional ticket counters and deployed extra staff and security personnel. Help desks operate to assist travellers during this busy period.

At major stations, extra ticket counters have been set up for last-minute bookings. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has placed 200 personnel on duty for crowd control and security. CCTV monitoring is used extensively to track passenger movement and keep operations smooth.

Passengers are urged to book tickets early to avoid delays. SCR encourages online booking services to reduce crowding at physical counters.
