South Africa has broadened its Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) programme to cover nationals of 53 countries. The update adds family-friendly options and allows children aged seven and older to be included in the same application.
The system went live on August 12, 2026. It now collects biometric data for children, lets families submit several visas from one account, and lists 17 African, 4 American, 16 Asian and 16 European countries.
Indian travellers can book the ETA online without visiting a visa office.
