On Oct 30 2026, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs issued a fresh Certificate of Incorporation for Krishna GVK Luxury Hotels Limited, marking the official rebrand from TajGVK Hotels & Resorts Limited. The company is now fully owned and led by the GVK-Bhupal promoter family after IHCL sold its entire 25.52% stake in Dec 2025.
IHCL's nominee directors stepped down from the Board on Dec 30 2025, ending the joint venture that began when the company was formed in 1995 as a partnership between the two entities. Since then Krishna GVK Luxury Hotels Limited has operated solely under the ownership of the GVK-Bhupal family.
The rebrand comes as Taj Yelahanka is slated to open toward the end of Nov, becoming the seventh hotel under the new name. Presently, the company runs six hotels in Hyderabad, Chennai, Chandigarh, and Mumbai; IHCL continues to operate these properties under long-term management agreements with the Taj brand.
Krishna GVK Luxury Hotels plans to grow its portfolio into India's high-potential markets. Its net debt remains minimal even after the completion of Taj Yelahanka.
