Goa announced a Rs 20 million (£187,000) incentive aimed at encouraging international charter flights and improving air links with the UK.

Tui is operating up to four flights a week from Gatwick and Manchester this winter, bringing travellers straight into Goa. The state promotes its heritage sites, hinterland villages, wellness offerings and cultural events to entice longer stays, targeting remote professionals and those seeking workations.

Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte stressed the importance of strengthening air connectivity with the UK.

Goa is also participating in the World Travel Market in London to forge stronger ties with UK travel partners. The state works with airlines, charter operators and international tour operators to enhance connectivity.

Goa Tourism showcases a destination that blends coastal and village settings with wellness and cultural attractions, encouraging visitors to engage with local businesses and communities.
