Six carriers now provide premium economy on routes shorter than six hours, offering a cost-effective alternative to business class while still delivering extra legroom and enhanced services.

Meanwhile, six of the ten airlines that still operate Airbus A380s have introduced premium-economy cabins aboard these jumbo jets – with British Airways planning its largest such cabin of 84 seats.

In addition to the seating upgrade, several carriers are also offering complimentary WiFi to those traveling in premium economy or higher, ensuring connectivity on both short and long flights.
