Overcrowding hit the Ahmedabad-Gorakhpur Express at Bhopal Station as ticketless passengers forced their way into a reserved AC coach, sparking clashes with travellers holding valid tickets.

Passengers described the scene as chaotic. The density of people made it hard to move and some could not reach the washroom. Drunk individuals were also seen in the AC coaches meant for reserved seating only.

Valid-ticket passengers pulled the emergency chain to halt the train, reflecting their frustration with overcrowding. Those who had paid extra for AC seats struggled to enjoy a safe and comfortable journey.

The incidents highlight gaps in railway enforcement during peak travel periods such as Diwali. Indian Railways remains the primary mode of long-distance travel for millions, yet these events expose weaknesses in reservation rule enforcement and capacity planning.
