SpiceJet cancelled flight SG-646 from Pune to Patna after it was delayed twice. The plane was first set to leave at 8:10pm on Thursday, then pushed back to 2:15am on Friday before the airline called off the flight entirely.

A family from Pashan arrived at Pune airport around 9pm with their luggage but were not allowed into the departure area. They waited for several hours and finally left the terminal at about 1:30am.

The group had spent roughly Rs1.30 lakh on travel arrangements, which included a return ticket with IndiGo that could not be refunded if cancelled.

A travel portal offered to reschedule the journey on another date with SpiceJet but warned that refunds for the ticket might take two to three weeks to process. The family tried contacting a SpiceJet spokesperson via WhatsApp; no reply was received by the time of reporting.

The flight had originally been booked for November 9, and a separate SpiceJet flight from Pune to Varanasi scheduled for November 6 was also cancelled, adding to their travel disruptions.
